The general consensus is that dpup-482 with the 2.6.30.5 kernel will be our main release and dpup-477 with the 2.6.27.4 kernel will be our retro release. Dpup-482, will closely follow Barry's main releases, in terms of underlying Puppy code, but will be solidly Debian Cored.

Dpup, while being based on Debian Lenny repositories, also uses a large portion of Debian Sid (Next Release) code, to keep up to date with newer application versions.
